Museum Extension & Refurbishment, Shaftesbury

The project involved the addition of two single storey extensions, internal alterations and remedial works to a Listed building on a sensitive site, ensuring that the museum was open to the public during the construction phase.

Given the building heritage and archeological remains below ground, close attention to detail was required to preserve the historic elements of the building and ensure that the archeological remains were carefully preserved.

The design involved working alongside the Architect, Contractor, Planning Officers and Conservation Officers to ensure details were sympathetic to the building, whilst ensuring the building and extensions were suitable for the future.
